We spent a few days in Hong Kong in full hurricane alert as you say ... it rained! But luckily, the typhoon did not approach the coast. These islands became British in the mid-nineteenth century following the Opium Wars led by the Crown on the Chinese coast. Returned to China in 1997, Hong Kong is now a haven for high-tech, luxury and shopping. We felt somewhat at odds with our clothes at the end of our road and look tourdumondistes.
Anyway, this city is particularly impressive for its incessant tingling.
